Miyuki Eberhart: Close FriendBackground: Growing up in the outskirts of Ulda'h Snow learned how to fend for herself. It was hard out in the desert and if you werenât careful you could end up engulfed by it. Her family life wasnât that great, Mom and Dad werenât very accepting of her sexuality and shunned her and disowned her at the tender young age of 14, since then sheâs been on her own. She worked at a local shop selling fruit and slept out back in a cot for years but always longed for something else.When she turned 18 she decided to move to Kugane and gained employment at a local noodle bar. She had a local regular customer that would come in every day at around 4 to get the same order of noodles, She noted the large katana he wore when he came in and asked him about it. He explained that he was a Samurai and went on to talk about his order The Jade Lotus and how they had suffered a great loss due to an evil rival faction. They had been at odds for several years and then one night while everyone was asleep save for a handful of guards their ninjas attacked, taking everyone. Heâd always been a night owl and happened to be down at the local pond looking up at the stars and was un-aware of the plight that had befallen his village. When he returned, he discovered that he was the only one left out of his whole order. He still practices the old ways and carries his trusty katana wherever he went vowing to one day avenge them.Snow was deeply moved by his story; she had always longed to be apart of a loving family and to hear that his was taken away so violently really moved her. She decided to join him in his cause and learn the ways of the samurai. Throughout the years she honed her skills with her master Tetsuka and together they worked through his list taking out each member of the evil rival order until they got to the head of the organization Shizu, Who also happened to be the lord of several nations. It wasnât easy to make their way in, He knew they were on to him as he got news of all his other lieutenants being taken out and posted wanted portraits of them throughout all of the towns he was lord of. Due to his very nature the inhabitants of all of his towns showed fanatical devotion to him and would turn anyone in if they so much as looked like Snow and Tetsuka.
Then one night they decided it was time, time to do to Shizu what he did to all of Tetsukaâs village. They snuck in under the cloak of darkness and made it all the way into Shizuâs bedroom where he seemed to be sleeping. It was when Snow went to raise her katana up and finally bring this whole saga to an end that the lights suddenly turned on. They both froze and looked to the doorway only to see Shizu and a dozen of his most elite guard. They charged Snow and at the last second Tetsuka swooped in and pushed Snow out of the way. âRUN!â he shouted. Snow didnât want to leave her master but as more guards started to flood the room she didnât have a choice she had to leave. As she jumped out the door she saw her master get overrun and stabbed several times before he lay limp on the ground.Snow was devastated. She went back to Tetsukaâs dojo and decided she needed to run. Shizu has resources and if she stayed there he would find her eventually, She had to leave Kugane. She hopped the next air ship and set sail for Limsa Lominsa where she ran into Enavren Alavena at a local cafĂ© named Cup O' Cuddles. âRenâ as sheâs affectionately known, took her under her wing and gave Snow that âFamilyâ feeling she had longed for all along. Ren took in all sorts of strays and outlaws, âEveryone has a storyâ she always says.
